Step 1: Create Your Account
Signing up takes less than a minute. Simply enter your email address, choose a username, and create a password. You'll receive a verification email – click the link and you're ready to go. Optionally, you can add a profile picture and a short bio to help others get to know you better.
We ask for minimal information because we believe your experience should be about connections, not paperwork. No lengthy questionnaires or personality tests – just the basics to get you started.
Step 2: Set Your Preferences
Once your account is created, you can customize who you meet. Set your preferred language, general location, and interests. This helps our matching system pair you with people who are more likely to share meaningful conversations.
Don't worry – these preferences are flexible. You can change them anytime, and you're free to skip them entirely for completely random connections. It's entirely up to you.
Step 3: Start Chatting
Click the prominent "Start Chatting" button on your dashboard or homepage. Our system will instantly connect you with another user who's also online and looking to chat. If the connection isn't quite right, simply click "Next" to move on to someone new.
During a video chat, you'll see your partner's webcam feed and they'll see yours. You can mute your microphone, turn off your camera, or end the conversation at any time. The interface is intuitive and straightforward.
During the Conversation
NC Chat encourages natural, flowing conversations. Here are some tips:

- Ask open-ended questions
- Be respectful of boundaries
- Have fun and be yourself!
If at any point you feel uncomfortable, use the report or block features immediately. Your safety is our priority.
After the Chat
Once your conversation ends, you can rate the experience (optional) and immediately start a new chat. There's no limit to how many people you can meet. Some users enjoy brief conversations with many people, while others prefer longer, deeper discussions. Both approaches are welcome.
