What We Do NOT Allow
To keep our community safe and welcoming, the following behaviors are strictly prohibited:
- Harassment & Bullying: Any form of intimidation, threats, targeted insults, or hate speech based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
- Inappropriate Content: Sharing sexually explicit material, violent imagery, or otherwise objectionable content. This includes nudity, pornography, or sexually suggestive poses.
- Spam & Advertising: Promoting products, services, social media accounts, or other platforms. Self-promotion is only acceptable when genuinely relevant to conversation and not excessive.
- Impersonation: Pretending to be someone else, including celebrities, other users, or NC Chat staff.
- Privacy Violations: Recording conversations without consent, sharing others' personal information (doxxing), or attempting to discover someone's private details against their wishes.
- Illegal Activities: Any discussion or facilitation of illegal acts, including drug use, theft, fraud, or exploitation.
- Self-Promotion Spam: Repeatedly sharing links to personal websites, social media, or other platforms without contributing to conversation.
- Misrepresentation: Using fake profile pictures, lying about your age, or providing false information with deceptive intent.
Age Requirement
NC Chat is exclusively for users who are 18 years of age or older. If you are under 18, you may not use our platform. We take this seriously and will ban accounts suspected of being operated by minors.
Consequences for Violations
We take violations of these guidelines seriously. Depending on the severity, consequences may include:
- Warning: For first-time, minor offenses
- Temporary Suspension: Short-term ban from the platform
- Permanent Ban: Complete removal of account and IP address blocking
Severe violations, such as sharing illegal content or harassment, result in immediate permanent bans without warning. Our moderation team evaluates each case individually.
How to Report Violations
If you witness behavior that breaks these guidelines, please report it:
- Use the Report button available during any video chat
- Provide as much detail as possible in your report
- If possible, include the username and approximate time of the incident
- You can also contact us directly for serious concerns
All reports are reviewed promptly by our moderation team. We aim to respond within 24 hours and take appropriate action based on our investigation.
Appeals Process
If your account has been banned and you believe it was in error, you may appeal by emailing [email protected] with your username and explanation. Appeals are reviewed by a different team member than the one who issued the ban. Final decisions are at our discretion.
